Commitments, Terms of Reference and What to do now
Training is a key part of the role to understand the continually changing pensions landscape and the policies of the EAPF.
A strong commitment to training allows the Pensions Committee to evaluate and challenge the advice they receive, ensure their decisions are robust, and manage any potential conflicts of interest.
Each Pensions Committee member has a tailored learning plan, which reflects their current knowledge and skills, and their development needs.
As a new Pensions Committee member, you'll complete an initial self-assessment which will inform the initial training opportunities you will be offered.
You'll also have an induction meeting with other member representatives and officers to learn more about the role.
All training costs will be met by the Fund.
The Pensions Committee is a committee of the Environment Agency Board and all Pensions Committee Members are appointed by the Environment Agency Board.
Our terms of reference and standing orders for the Pensions Committee can be found on our website at www.eapf.org.uk/resources/publications/policies
